Etsy Shop We Heart: Lemons With A Pea by Robin Plemmons

There are things that are irresistible. One is our love of baked goods around Straight Up Crafty. Second is Robin Plemmons and her shop, Lemons With A Pea, at Etsy.

Things that are irresistible: YOU & old women with baked goods.

Robin Plemmons is an artist/ illustrator, a writer, and an overly enthusiastic (yet not annoying) cheerleader at heart. She makes greeting cards and paintings that aim to make you happy in your heart and pants area. Her motto is “balls to the wall, y’all” and valiantly attempts to live it out in all aspects of her life. She was voted “Best Indie Crafter” and “Blogger You’d Most Like To See Naked” in Western North Carolina. She has worked with American Greetings and her work can be seen in boutiques, art galleries, and here on She wants to encourage the shit out of you.

Since it’s Valentine’s Day and baked goods and Valentines go together like peanut butter and banana, we’re sharing one of our favorite cards from Lemons With A Pea.

The Mason by Perch! Modern Ceramics

The Mason by Perch! is a jar or a vase or a container for utensils. Standing at 8″ tall, this take on the mason jar is one of functionality and clean design. Perch! ModernCeramics creates earthenware that are non-toxic, food safe and dishwasher safe. I fell in love with them in 2011 and still draw inspiration from their pieces.

Most Perch! products are handmade in Brooklyn New York with environmentally friendly – low impact materials and processes, non-toxic finishes and byproducts. Perch! is an advocate for a design process with time for research and fine tuning, manufacturing that supports local industries, workshops and craftspeople.

Some great uses for the The Mason by Perch!:

This all-purpose piece crockery is perfect for holding wooden utensils, a pretty bouquet that tiny hands have brought from the yard, or a chic way of storing fresh herbs  in the refrigerator.

Have you ever seen a more gorgeous pencil/pen holder to accentuate your workspace?

Perfect for flowers or to hold a collection of makeup brushes.

There are multiple uses for The Mason outside. Use as a holder for straws or utensils when dining al fresco, flowers or to have sparklers at the ready when entertaining in the summer.
